What gets collected

Server logs. Every request is recorded by the web server: your IP address, the time of the request, the page you asked for, the referring page if there is one, and your browser identification string.

Purpose: keeping the site running and spotting abuse. Legal basis under GDPR: legitimate interest. Logs are rotated daily and deleted after 14 days.

Email. If you write to me, I keep the correspondence for as long as it is useful to answer you and to remember what we agreed. Nothing from it goes anywhere else.

What does not happen here

• No cookies. The site sets none. Nothing is stored in your browser
• No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Yandex Metrica, no pixels, no third-party scripts of any kind
• No forms. The contact link opens your own mail client. Nothing is submitted to this server
• No advertising or profiling. Nothing is shared with advertisers, and nothing is sold

Who else sees the data

Two providers, both acting as processors:

Hetzner Online GmbH hosts the server, located in Germany. Their infrastructure handles the traffic and stores the logs described above.
Zoho Corporation provides the mailbox on this domain. Email you send lands there.

Your rights

Under GDPR you can ask what data about you exists, request a copy, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to the processing. Write to the address above and I will answer within a month, usually much sooner.

Given what is collected here, in practice this means the log entries tied to your IP address, and any email exchange we have had. Note that server logs are deleted automatically after 14 days regardless.

Changes

If this site ever gains a form, a booking calendar or analytics, this page gets updated before that goes live, and the date below changes with it.
